Harriet Heart
An original character I have been building since 2001, with a city and a crew of her own.
What I did: the character design, the story world, the art direction, the logo and the website.

Who she is
Harriet Heart is a pop star and producer in Vellacity, a city where everything hovers.
Her sound is Electro Hop: 80s hip-hop, pop, dance, R&B and Afropop, made at home and tested on the roofs. When something called the Hush starts turning the city down, she turns it back up, one beat at a time.
Out at night in her dad's cab.
The crew
8 friends, and each one brings a colour of their own.
I designed every one of them to stand next to Harriet Heart in the same world, from her twin Hunter to Sir-Rio, the robot who folds into a boom box.
Hunter
Her twin, and he always wants the last word.
Zeienka
Green, head to toe. Never, ever messy.
Daisuke
Builds things. Some of them even work.
Asher
Best piano player on their street.
Taaliah
Keeps her word, even when nobody is watching.
JJ
Street dancer, with the best pop-lock in Vellacity.
Rory
Runs the rooftop station, and says when the kick is late.
Sir-Rio
Shy, so around strangers he folds into a boom box.
The website
harrietheart.com is built by hand to launch her debut single, Just a little love.
In one scroll scene, paint bursts give the colour back to the city, and every burst lands on the beat of the song. A button plays the beat as well, made in the browser with no audio file.
